Postdoctoral Positions

Postdoctoral positions are available in the laboratory of Dr. Angie Gelli in the department of Pharmacology at the University of California in Davis.  The research will examine the role of a tyrosine kinase receptor and its signaling pathway in mediating interactions between the central nervous system and fungal pathogens. This project relies on mouse models (knockout mice, transgenic mice and fungal disease mouse models), primary cell culture and cell line models such as a  blood-brain barrier model. Applicants must be willing to work with mice and experience with mice is preferred. Applicants must have a PhD or MD/PhD degree, have strong interpersonal  and communication skills, including fluency in spoken and written English. The successful applicants will be skilled in molecular biology techniques and/or cell biology techniques.
